Carabinieri Police Force Modernizes Emergency Communications with NICE Inform

May 28, 2024 By admin Leave a Comment

NICE (Nasdaq: NICE) announced today that the Carabinieri (Arma dei Carabinieri), Italy’s national police force headquartered in Rome, will be deploying NICE Inform, a key solution within NICE’s Evidencentral platform. This modernization effort aims to enhance the reliability of voice recording and incident reconstruction across 514 emergency communication centers in Italy. These centers manage over seven million emergency calls annually. The Carabinieri, with a force of 110,000 sworn officers, ranks among the largest police forces globally.

NICE Inform is a widely used tool, trusted by over 3,000 public safety agencies worldwide. It offers a unified system for incident information, enabling public safety agencies to quickly and accurately uncover the truth within incident data. The platform ensures reliable data capture, facilitates fast and precise incident reconstruction, and supports automated quality assurance.

The Carabinieri’s emergency communication centers are essential in maintaining law and order, combating crime, and responding to various disasters. With the implementation of NICE Inform, the Carabinieri will now have the capability to reliably capture and efficiently manage all emergency communications, including calls and radio transmissions. This system allows remote control rooms to be operated from the central headquarters in Rome, providing instant access to incident information from any location. This capability supports emergency responses, investigations, evidence requests, and training for officers and operators. In situations requiring comprehensive incident reviews, NICE Inform can automatically compile incident data into a timeline view, enabling managers to replay and analyze incidents thoroughly.

“We are proud to have been chosen by the Carabinieri for this vital national infrastructure project,” stated Chris Wooten, Executive Vice President of NICE. “As law enforcement agencies and emergency communication centers globally face increasing volumes of incident information, they are turning to NICE for comprehensive incident intelligence solutions. NICE Inform allows them to consolidate all incident data in one place, reconstruct incidents more quickly and accurately, and gain valuable insights to enhance emergency responses.”

The deployment of the NICE Inform solution for the Carabinieri is being carried out in collaboration with Italy-based NICE-certified partner Recording Enterprise Solutions (RES).
